photo 3The BC Country Music Association (BCCMA’s) 2014 Country Club Act of the Year, Chris Buck Band has performed over 150 live shows in the last year. They are quickly becoming known as one of the busiest country performers on the west coast of Canada and have [performed at some of Canada’s biggest music festival’s ( Rockin RIver Music Fest . Sun Fest Concerts etc)). They have also had the opportunity to open for such artist’s as Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band to name a few.  Their live show is fun, energetic and always captivating with their unique country/reggae/rock sound it’s hard for any music fan to sit still during their live set.

In 2012 Chris Buck Band was also nominated for the Ray McCauley Horizon Award at the BCCMA’s, and took home the 2013 award at the Canadian Country Music Awards for the Jiffy Lube Fanfest contest representing acts of BC.

Chris Buck Band didn’t always play and perform their own music. The band was formed when Chris Buck lost his best buddy to Cancer at the Age of 13. Music was a big inspiration and healing process for Chris: “I decided to pursue music harder then ever at that time, and began writing and playing guitar almost everyday, and started a cover band. The cover band really helped me learn how to perform, and eventually we became one of the busiest bands in BC.” Chris Buck Band “tested” their own material on audiences, and when the reaction was positive, it reinforced them to pursue songs of their own. Their debut 2013 single Caribbean Dream was received very positively and was added into rotation on several major market stations.

In June of 2014 the band released their debut album Buck Wild, with the help of award winning producer Tom McKillip (Aaron Pritchett, One More Girl), which is now available on iTunes. There NEW single ” Leave Your Light On”  produced by Jeff Johnson ( Wes Mack, Dallas Smith, Rod Black) and written by Chad Brownlee, Chris Buck, Jeff Johnson and Phil Puxley is now available iTunes etc.

Play from your heart and have some fun!
